The Embassy of Saudi Arabia has said in its travel advisory that all citizens residing and visiting Pakistan need to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary movement as the authorities have issued a high security alert in Islamabad.
On the other hand, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police has issued a special security plan in view of the current security situation. The ICT Police has set up 25 temporary security check posts and will be video recording entry/exit routes in the red zone through Safe City cameras as well as metro bus passengers.
Locals and foreigners are advised to carry identification documents. They should use the number plates issued by the Excise Office on the vehicles.
