Every day thousands of rocks enter the atmosphere of our earth. About 99% of them burn to dust in the air due to wind turbulence, and only 1% reach the surface of the earth. These are called meteorites. Sometimes their number is too high. In the middle of the nineteenth century, thousands of meteors fell to the ground for a long time in a city in the United States, but this is very rare.
