Lahore Qalandars get boost before Quetta Gladiators match: In preparation for their second match in the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) against Quetta Gladiators on Monday, Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions, have received a significant boost.
The team has reinforced its lineup with the inclusion of Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza and West Indies’ Carlos Brathwaite. Both players have joined the squad in Lahore and are eligible for selection in today’s game at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Sikandar Raza, known for his versatile skills and dynamic presence on the field, brings a wealth of experience to Lahore Qalandars. His capability to contribute with both bat and ball adds a valuable dimension to the team’s strategy. Although he was retained in the roster, Sikandar Raza missed the opening game due to prior commitments in ILT20, which concluded on February 17 in Dubai.
Carlos Brathwaite, recognized as a T20 specialist and a powerful hitter, brings his explosive batting prowess and strategic bowling to Lahore Qalandars. He has been called up to bolster the Qalandars’ bench.
Both players are set to be available for the entire tournament, starting today, enhancing the depth and international flair of Lahore Qalandars in their pursuit of glory. The team’s management expresses confidence in the newly acquired talent, believing their addition will play a pivotal role in the squad’s success.
Lahore Qalandars aim to recover from their defeat in the opening match of PSL 9 against Islamabad United on Saturday.
