A series of three T20 matches was scheduled between Australia and Afghanistan in August this year, but Cricket Australia has once again postponed the series against Afghanistan.

It is to be remembered that Cricket Australia had also postponed the last one-day series in consultation with its government and Cricket Australia says that the one-day series was postponed due to the deteriorating situation of human rights of women and girls in Afghanistan.

It should be noted that Cricket Australia had asked to review the situation further and to keep in touch with the Afghanistan Cricket Board for the improvement of this issue.

Cricket Australia says that the government has told us that the situation in Afghanistan is worse than before, so we are sticking to our past position, so we are postponing the bilateral series against Afghanistan.

Cricket Australia also said that Cricket Australia will continue to support the participation of women and girls in cricket.
